Many coastal birds, horseshoe crabs, sea turtles, and marine mammals are injured or killed each year as the result of becoming tangled up in recreational fishing line and its associated hooks and tackle that have been improperly disposed of along beache

Save Coastal Wildlife (SCW) is a non-profit environmental organization based along the northern Jersey Shore. Save Coastal Wildlife is an all-volunteer organization that is dedicated to the protection and conservation of marine wildlife that live and feed in the coastal waters from Raritan Bay southward to Delaware Bay.
